All information for housing

The Audit Commission looks at many public sector services including local government and housing and has links with other national inspectorates.

As well as scoring and reporting on housing services we identify and promote positive practice. Every inspection looks for examples of positive practice, innovation, creative ways of overcoming barriers, resistance to change and better use of resources.

The housing national studies programme aims to improve local public services through its independent authoritative analysis of national evidence and local practice.
