This review identifies common financial reporting issues and helps to identify areas which are a potential risk in financial management and budgeting terms.
Financial Management in the NHS - December 2008 Audit Commission and National Audit Office jointly prepared report providing a commentary on the financial position of the NHS as a whole and considering the financial management issues facing NHS bodies. The report focuses on the overall surplus that was achieved in 2007/08 (£1.67 billion), the action taken by the Dept of Health and NHS bodies to achieve it, as well as providing an overview of the financial management arrangements.
