Through the CAA area assessment, we consider how well councils, police, probation and fire and rescue services all contribute to making places safe.
The CAA framework sets out what CAA is and how it will be delivered from 1 April 2009.
The Audit Commission has published the Fire and Rescue Service framework which sets out how fire and rescue services will be assessed under CAA.
The Audit Commission also carries out value for money assessments of Probation boards and trusts. Auditors provide a Value For Money (VFM) conclusion against relevant criteria in accordance with guidance issued by the Commission.
