Accessible information

Translation and interpretation services

The Audit Commission is committed to making sure that the outcomes of our work are reported to all members of the public. Making our work accessible and relevant to people who use public services and from all communities is highlighted in our Strategic Plan.

To do this effectively we need to make sure that our messages are reaching those people who need to or receive these in a particular way or who need assistance to communicate their experience to us.

As part of the racial equality agenda and user focus and diversity issues the following suppliers have been appointed for the supply of translation and interpretation services for those writing reports.

  • K International -  Face-to-face and telephone interpretation
  • Language line - Translation services relating to text documents (including Word and Powerpoint, etc)
  • Royal National Institute of the Deaf - Sign language services
  • Royal National Institute of the Blind - Braille services

The service is offered through our publications team to those writing reports and is publicised internally.
